A step toward meaningful belonging
Becoming a member at Gate City Baptist Church is about committing to life together as a church family—walking alongside one another as we follow Jesus, grow deeper in His Word, and live out the gospel in our relationships and our community. Membership is an invitation to be built up, to belong meaningfully, and to share in the mission God has given us. We want you to have clarity, ask questions, and prayerfully discern whether this is the next step God is leading you to take.
Start with Discovery
One of the best ways to learn more about Gate City is through our Discovery Class. This class introduces our mission, values, beliefs, and ministries, and helps you discern whether this is where God is calling you to belong.

Ways to Join
If you’re ready to become a member, there are three ways to join our church family:
Baptism
For those beginning a relationship with Christ, or for believers who have not been baptized by immersion.
Transfer of Letter
For members of another Baptist church who wish to transfer their membership to Gate City.
Statement of Faith
For believers who have been baptized by immersion but are not currently members of a Baptist church.
