Women's Ministry
Christ-centered relationships...
The goals of Tapestry Women’s Ministry are to build Christ-centered relationships among women and to promote the growth of God’s Kingdom through spiritual outreach within the church, our community, and the world.
Within the church, we offer women’s Bible studies throughout the year. Various opportunities are held throughout the year to allow us to share Christian fellowship as well as promoting Christian growth through speakers. Examples of these are: breakfasts, a fall “Hospitality Banquet,” and participation in retreats, Women of Faith and Angela Thomas’ “Beautiful Life” conferences, and hosting events such as the Priscilla Shirer simulcast.
Within the community, we have sponsored projects that included: back-to-school supplies given to local schools, having “plarn” worshops (where we learn how to use plastic grocery bags to make bedrolls for the homeless), and helping to collect and distribute personal/toiletry items for the homeless.
Within the world, we coordinate Gate City’s Samaritan’s Purse Project, “Operation Christmas Child.”
Tapestry Women’s Ministry provides an opportunity for women to connect with others as we all challenge ourselves to step-up our spiritual walk with our Lord, Jesus Christ.
